Compliance
In 2019 we went through our Rating and Assessment and received a rating of exceeding national quality standards by the Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA).
We meet or exceed staff to children ratios in all rooms, and well exceed the number of qualified educators required to meet the National Quality Standards.
We’re always happy to talk to current and prospective families about our educational programs, so please reach out to us if you’d like to discuss this further.
Governance
Coburg Children’s Centre Inc. is an incorporated, financially independent, not-for-profit community childcare service and Kindergarten.
We are governed by a Board of Management and our Operational and Educational Coordinators facilitate the day to day running of the Centre. See our organisational structure in the Parent Manual.
The Board of Management is made up of parents and guardians, and is responsible for making decisions about:
- Finances
- Service delivery
- Policies and
- Strategic Direction
The Board of Management members, educators and students are bound by the Commonwealth Privacy Act. The Privacy and access statement in the Parent Manual summarises obligations, rights and how we collect and manage information. See also National FOI and privacy regulator.
The Board meets a minimum of 10 times per year, and holds the Annual General Meeting (AGM) in May each year. We encourage all parents and carers to come along to our board meetings, and consider joining the board. If you’d like information on how to join the board, or copies of our policy documents, executive duties, constitution, legal agreements, annual report or meeting minutes, please contact us.
