Child development and behaviour

We speak from a personal as well as a professional perspective

We’re often asked about children’s behaviour and development. Common issues include:

  • sleeping
  • eating
  • toilet training
  • lying

Please talk to us if you have these or other concerns – most of us are parents first and foremost and we often speak from a personal as well as a professional perspective. See also, resources and library.

Effective behaviour guidance is positive and consistent

Challenging behaviour often leaves adults feeling at a loss. We use basic strategies and techniques which may be useful for parents when guiding children’s behaviour and are available to discuss these with parents. See also, Behaviour and guidance in the Parent Manual.

Where parents or staff have concerns around a child’s behaviour we’ll work with you to develop an action plan.
